New To Blu: The Firm

This last week The Firm was finally released on Blu Ray. This was one of Sydney Pollack's final directorial efforts as well as one of his best. It was also one of Tom Cruise's last decent dramatic roles.

If you've never seen The Firm, I would suggest it based on the fact that it involves some great work from Wilford Brimley, Ed Harris, David Strathairn, Holly Hunter and the now retired Gene Hackman. Pollack truly had a gift for inspiring actors to give their best performances. A young Jeanne Tripplehorn also stars.

This Blu Ray image hasn't lost it's grain and appears to have received some special treatment for its release. Add this to your collection.
