New To Blu: Trust

Although Trust won't be released for a few more weeks I felt in necessary and almost important that I review this movie before it's available to the public. This movie has a strong message and David Schwimmer (yes that one) does a phenomenal job at creating a defined sense of realism and family drama in this movie. The topic of the film is disturbing and uncomfortable to watch at times but also necessary. Rape is never a delicate subject, especially when it deals with our misguided technologically advanced youth.

Clive Owen and Catherine Keener both deliver some of their best dramatic work in Trust. Liana Liberato performs beyond her years as their 14 year old daughter, Annie.

Although the movie plays like an after school special at times, it is recommended viewing for any parent that allows their children to freely use the internet and social networking sites. See it.
