Dig! is the tale of two rival factions: The Dandy Warhols and The Brian Jonestown Massacre. It is a story of desperation in the volatile world of independent rock. While telling the story of these two bands, it chronicles the climactic fall of Anton Newcombe and his downward spiral in to a world of drugs and disconnection from reality. I've enjoyed this movie numerous times as I'm sure you will. Some scenes are frustrating and some are hilarious. Just bear with it. This is one of the only modern rock documentaries that explores the realities and harshness of the record industry and its pitfalls.
