Underworld: Awakening is everything I feared it would be. It's the exact reason that sequels are despised so much. It's an under developed wreck of a film that does nothing to further the Underworld franchise.
Although the film maintains the visual flair of the previous entries, it's a palpable mess that drags the series in to the same realm as the Resident Evil movies. Awakening is more confirmation that Hollywood knows how to suck the last bit of life blood from any series of films.
If you're a die hard fan and really want to see Kate in the same tight leather costume again, I would suggest seeing it with quite a bit of hesitation. Maybe I'll give it another shot at some point. This would be a great topic for Second Chance Sundays.
