In between head nods, I thought the movie was a fun 3D film that most kids will really enjoy. It's a silly piece but never too outrageous. The one thing that I did notice was the absence of potty humor. This always speaks volumes to me and makes me respect the writers for taking the time to produce something respectful that doesn't speak down to kids but plays to their comedic sensibilities.
Everyone in the theater seemed to enjoy themselves as much as my son, Connor. He was laughing throughout at the uproarious antics of Pirate Captain and his clan of idiotic partners in crime. If you want some good clean family fun, I would suggest The Pirates! Band of Misfits. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
