In Theaters 6/8/12: Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most WantedIt seems that the crew from the zoo is always trying to escape from someplace, and Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted is no exception. What kind of trouble do Alex, Marty, and the gang get themselves into this time? Well, I'm not telling, so you'll have to watch the movie to find out.

If you're looking for a good family movie to see this weekend, look no further. Madagascar 3 is a kids movie, made with parents in mind. Although it has plenty to keep the adults entertained, it doesn't stoop to clandestine raunchiness just to get a laugh from mom and dad. As all parents know, finding a movie that is enjoyable for the whole family, yet also appropriate for everyone, can sometimes prove to be a real challenge. This one fits the bill.

Laughter was the order of the day when I saw Madagascar 3 in the theater last weekend. The movie is funny, entertaining, and has a heartwarming story. As an added bonus, the fabulous Frances McDormand joins the returning Madagascar cast, bringing the star quality up a notch. The 3D effects enhanced the viewing experience and clearly delighted the children in the audience. I recommend Madagascar 3 as a fun family movie to kick off the summer season.
