Movie News: A Catwoman Spinoff?
Either way, The Dark Knight Rises director was recently quoted saying, "Anne is incredibly precise and articulate about the psychology of the character. She's really built it from the ground up, it's just a delight to watch her perform. The thing she does in those heels is not to be taken lightly. She's an incredible character and we're very excited to see her and hopefully we'll leave people wanting more."
After the dreadfully awful Halle Berry Catwoman film, I'd be surprised if the WB is quick on the draw with another franchise upstart. But, we'll see. Early word is that Hathaway delivers the best Catwoman to date. My personal favorite is Lee Meriweather's televised version of the lady in black.
With the rumor mill so loaded with talk of another Batman reboot around the corner, I'm not sure that Warner will spin off from the Nolan universe, but you never know. Sometimes it's just fun to speculate.
