New To Blu: Headhunters

Once again, American cinema is trumped by the foreign film market with the Norwegian thriller/black comedy, Headhunters. Each time I watch a new foreign film, I have to wonder why the domestic film industry refuses to be as creative as the over seas market.

Headhunters is one of the most gripping thrillers I've seen since the original Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and is (of course) being remade for American cinema-goers. And it won't be nearly as good. The two main actors absolutely inhabit their roles and replacement actors will definitely struggle to make their performances match with the desperation and swagger of these two original leads.

I've been interested in seeing this film for months and was happy to finally get a chance to sit down and watch it last night. The film is a unique tale of vengeance and greed set against the backdrop of art galleries and stylistic Norwegian homes.
