Shorts: Zedic and the Crimson Born

We just received another independent short for review here at The Movie Sleuth. As usual, we really appreciate the effort that goes in to these films and enjoy checking out the work that gets submitted to the site. It's become extremely common that most of the shorts or indie films we've received have been sci-fi, which happens to be one of my favorite genres.

The newest short we received is called Zedic and the Crimson Born. At a shockingly short run time of seven minutes and nineteen seconds, the creator establishes what could be an intriguing story. In essence, this is the setup for a much larger story and leaves us with a bit of a cliffhanger. Where the film falls short is in the acting department. I think had a little more time been spent developing the performances it could have been a lot better. Yet, I really liked the performance and line delivery of Gary Ploski as the title character, Zedic. He seems comfortable in the role.

Sci-Fi fans like myself can find the film at this link. The film can be purchased for only .99 cents.
