Is nothing sacred? Apparently not. Hollywood's itch to remake everything continues.
Despite what fans say, Ghost in the Shell is getting a feature film adaptation. Perhaps one of the most popular anime features or Manga comics right behind Akira, my skepticism is piqued as to whether this is a viable idea when most Hollywood do overs usually suck when translated to live action. But, it doesn't really matter what I think, does it?

Deadline is reporting that Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsmen) is officially attached to direct the live action version. The film is being produced by Avi Arad, Ari Arad, and Steven Paul with some heavy backing from Steven Spielberg.
