TV: Heroes Reborn

NBC is bringing back Heroes in 2015 with a 13 episode mini-series called Heroes Reborn

We've never reported television news here at The Movie Sleuth. But, this is rather exciting considering Heroes was such a promising show that was derailed by a writer's strike right after a stellar first season. Each season thereafter was a little bit worse than the last and the series came to a dull conclusion in 2010. Well, it appears that NBC is following in the footsteps of Fox's 24 return with a 13 episode story arc called Heroes Reborn.

"The enormous impact Heroes had on the television landscape when it first launched in 2006 was eye opening", says NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke. "Shows with that kind of resonance don't come around often", she continued. And she's right. The first season was a mind blowing change in scenery for a major network series. Now might be the right time to bring it back.

It would be awesome if they can get back on even footing and offer up a new chance for the show to live outside of the failed last couple seasons. And Sylar better be back. Save the cheerleader. Save the world.

The show will be on television in 2015. Before the series premiers, NBC will be hosting a digital series that will introduce us to new characters and new story lines, but they promise old characters will be returning too.
