News: Fight Club 2 Finds A Home......In Comic Book Form

The much anticipated Fight Club sequel has officially found a home.

Dark Horse Comics will publish the graphic novel as a 10 issue maxi-series with the debut issue hitting the shelves on April 8th, 2015. Fight Club 2 will be written by Chuck Palahniuk and will be illustrated by Eisner Award winning artist, Cameron Stewart.

The story will take place in both the past and the future, picking up 10 years after the ending of the original book. Our narrator is now married to Marla Singer and together they have a 9 year old son, who the narrator feels is being failed by his father, much like his own.

We can expect many characters to return from the first book as well as Project Mayhem, which still lingers in the mind of the narrator.

The original book was "such a tirade against fathers. Everything I had thought my father had not done combined with everything my peers were griping about their fathers," says Palahniuk, 52. "Now to find myself at the age that my father was when I was trashing him made me want to revisit it from the father's perspective and see if things were any better and why it repeats like that. He tries to go back and reclaim that phase of his life, and is just a pathetic failure," Palahniuk says. "He's not that person anymore. But beyond that, it's what the organization has grown into in his absence and what he's pulled back into."

As a huge fan of both the original book and the David Fincher film, I can’t wait!
