Movie News: Rambo 5 Is Next For Stallone

Just as Stallone's latest is releasing in theaters, he announces that Rambo V is next. Dude.

After the last triumphant and blood soaked Rambo movie, it was thought that the series had possibly come to an end. Yet, there's been rumblings about another sequel for the past couple years. In fact, the movie Homeland starring Jason Statham was initially meant to be the next Rambo movie. Well, it appears that Mr. Stallone is hot under the collar to finally get this thing made.

During an interview with Vulture, Stallone stated, "I’m getting ready for Rambo 5. I’m starting to work out. I’m going to be appropriately vicious and all that stuff, but intellectual. A killer with a heart. Smart, yet stupid. Tall, yet short. Broad, but thin. You know what I mean. We’re going to try to cover all the boundaries".

Considering how epic and brutal the fight sequences were in the last one, Rambo 5 will have a hard time topping it. However, if he can finally make something better than the insipid Expendables movies, this action buff is totally down for another kick ass Rambo flick. This is the one character Stallone can still pull off despite his age.

What do you think? Are you down for another Rambo movie? Early word says he'll be battling the Mexican cartel.

  2. I'm a huge fan of the first two and the last one. I think this could work. He just needs to get away from the Expendables movies even if it means revisiting old characters over and over again.

  3. He needs to get over himself and his ego. My goodness. His ego is so big it is eating itself. Another Rambo movie? Give me a break. Why not just make a movie that shows yourself on the camera for a whole 2 hours. Wait, I think the recent Expendables movie is a good example of that. Let it rest already Stallone.

  4. Well I revisited this and can tell you that Titanfall ate itself. It was so much fun before the matchmaking kicked in...not too mention the hackers.....and then the game split up the community by having people pay for maps. Now the game is a gigantic boring mess. Waste of money.
