News: X-Men Apocalypse Gets A New Nightcrawler In Kodi Smit-McPhee

Apocalypse finally gets its Nightcrawler!

The rumor pot has been stirring for weeks regarding the upcoming X-men Apocalypse. First came word that Patrick Stewart would not be featured in the latest sequel that is supposedly going to relaunch the cinematic X-Men universe. Well, word comes tonight that fans are getting a newer, younger Nightcrawler in the form of Kodi Smit-McPhee.

Mcphee has cut his teeth in numerous genre entries including Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and the divisive Let The Right One In Remake, Let Me In. Mcphee also starred alongside Viggo Mortensen in The Road. If anything, he's definitely proven his worth as a dramatic actor that will stand aside his fellow mutant brethren with the acting chops to pull this one off.

Personally, I think this is a great fit for a young actor that hasn't worn himself thin on these types of movies. This is just another step in the right direction for a franchise that's not always been able to stick to timelines.
