13 years later, The X-Files is finally making its comeback.
It's been in discussion for months on end with fans of the series rabidly awaiting some word of an official announcement. Well, today brought that great news. Fox will be bringing the series back as a six episode "event" series that promises to answer some long awaited questions and mysteries that were never given the proper closure. If this is a success, might we see an extended run or a possible full time run for the show? That remains to be seen.
Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny have finally worked out any scheduling conflicts they may have had and this thing has a green light from Chris Carter and his conspirators at Fox. As a long time fan of the series, it's exciting to see that the followers of the show and the creators still have a mutual admiration for these characters and their story.
After the second movie, no one was sure if we'd ever see Mulder and Scully again. Now, it's certain that audiences will continue to fight the future with two of the best characters to ever hit the tv screen.
