TV News: Clive Barker's Weaveworld

Clive Barker is making the jump to television.

This has been a huge week for television news. Next up on the docket is word that Clive Barker's 1987 horror property Weaveworld is being teleported to the small screen. While Barker's work has mostly been adapted to films this will be a strange and new experience for the creative mastermind. For years we've heard rumblings about a reboot of Hellraiser. Now, focus has shifted to bringing Barker's tale of a magical world into a weekly series.

Shifting the story with a modern update, the show will be about an app designer and a pastry chef who guard a mythical realm that is accessed via a dimensional portal hidden in an old mansion. The show is reportedly going to air on the CW, which will definitely raise the eyebrows of Barker fans as that network is not always dedicated to quality or great production values.
