TV News: The Gods of War

There can never be enough science fiction programming and it looks like we're getting something new.

Called a mash up of Star Wars and Mad Max, Pacific Coast Entertainment has started developing the series, The Gods of War. The Gods of War is said to be set in the distant future depicting the struggles of humanity forced to merge with machine intelligence. The first season will consist of 6-8 episodes, with production due to begin in 2016.

Making geeks around the world strangely excited, producer Neil Johnson says Gods of War will “be a story-driven epic series similar to the Game of Thrones model.  "We look to shoot primarily in the US, but it’s expected there’ll be some additional photography in other countries”.

From this first teaser image, this looks like something that just might appeal to the science fiction crowd that will be looking for something new after the lackluster finale of Falling Skies. The series is based on their upcoming project, Rogue Warrior: Robot Fighter.
