No matter what you say, here's 3 films that are sure to be hits in 2016.
Although we still have some great films lined up for the remainder of 2015, the movie studios are well underway in preparing some cinematic treats for us next year. So here's a quick rundown of what movies you can look forward to in 2016.
It's hard to believe that it has been over 25 years since the relatively-underwhelming Ghostbusters 2. But 2016 looks to see the return of the ghost-busting team with a whole new twist in an effort to get back to the fun and drama of the original Ghostbusters.
Movie fans will be surprised to find that Ghostbusters 3 will feature an all-female lead cast, with some of the lead actresses from Bridesmaids such as Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy looking for similar success from the upcoming comedy. Bridesmaids has since gone on to inspire the entertainment sector with a range of merchandise featuring hilarious quotations, as well as the likes of Euro Palace introducing a selection of slots games based on the film. And as it is expected that Ghostbusters 3 could become one of the biggest films of next year, we could well be seeing the first online Ghostbusters game to offer fans some ghoulish treats as well as some lucrative payouts.
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice
Although some might say that we may be reaching saturation point in terms of movie adaptations of comic book characters, the upcoming Batman V Superman film looks set to raise the bar of such ventures.
The DC Comics movie will set the iconic characters against each other in an epic showdown of superhero prowess, and when the movie hits cinema screens in March 2016, it will provide director Zack Snyder with the chance to add to his already impressive list of works that includes Sucker Punch and 300.
The Jungle Book
Whilst traditionalists may feel that a 21st century updating of the 1967 animated Disney film may be a touch unnecessary, the first trailers of the movie may cause a few ripples of excitement in even the most conservative of movie audiences. And with a fantastic cast ranging from the likes of Bill Murray to Scarlett Johansson, it looks like 2016's 3D version of the Rudyard Kipling classic will reintroduce this wonderful story for a whole new generation.
Concerns about the use of modern music in the film have been somewhat dispelled through the announcement that the original music writer Richard M. Sherman has returned to create a new soundtrack. And with director John Favreau having built upon previous successes such as Elf and Iron Man, it looks like 2016 could see the most exciting version of the Jungle Book yet.
