News: Star Wars Episode VIII Gets Force Pushed To December

Disney has officially pushed the next Star Wars installment to a later date.

Matt is not happy.
With the massive success of The Force Awakens, Rian Johnson's as yet to be titled Star Wars sequel has been pushed back from May 2017 to December 15, 2017. With this news, fans will undoubtedly grumble as we're all awaiting some answers to the mysteries of Episode VII

The film is currently in pre-production and principal photography is scheduled to begin next month in London. At this juncture, no real reason has been given as to why they're delaying the film. Possible scripting issues could be the cause as reports have claimed several rewrites or they could possibly be leaving more room for The Force Awakens to continue breaking box office records and for the release of Rogue One. No matter what, the film will undoubtedly be a box office smash.
