News: Beverly Hills 4 Starring Eddie Murphy

After years of developmental hell, it's game back on for Axel Foley.

With so many other '80s hits getting a re-treatment, a reboot, a remake, or a continuation, Eddie Murphy and company are boarding the nostalgia train.

Over the course of the last two decades, we've heard rumblings of numerous different incarnations of Beverly Hills Cop 4. From a cancelled sequel years ago to a television show that was suppose to center on Foley's offspring, the Beverly Hills Cop brand has longed for a new treatment, or at least a continuation.

Well, it looks like Murphy is back as Foley as plans for a part four are well underway. The news has just dropped that two Belgian directors, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have signed on to take over the project. Jerry Bruckheimer is signed back on as a producer as Eddie Murphy returns to one of his defining characters. It is said that this new sequel will take Murphy back to the more non-family oriented character and may be a return to form for the actor/comedian.

Beverly Hills Cop 4 will take place in none other than good old Detroit, Michigan.
