The first trailer has arrived for the Bruce Lee film titled Birth of a Dragon.
The story focuses on the infamous and controversial private street fight that took place between Lee (Philip Ng) and the Chinese martial artist Wong Jack Man (Yu Xia) in 1964. There is also a romantic subplot involving an American and a Chinese immigrant, who is under the control of the Chinese mafia. It is inspired by true events, but isn't necessarily completely fact based. The production is financed by the China based Kylin Pictures and was produced by Groundswell's Michael London and Janice Williams. The script was written by Christopher Wilkinson and Stephen J. Rivele. This is the second directing job for George Nolfi, who had previously written and directed The Adjustment Bureau. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
It looks pretty decent from the trailer and I am actually interested in checking this out. The actor selections for Lee and Man are probably the best choices possible and it would be very difficult to find someone that looked exactly like Lee. What are your thoughts?
