The second season of Legends of Tomorrow premieres on October 13, 2016. Check out the synopsis for the first episode and another teaser trailer below.
"Dr. Nate Heywood (Nick Zano), an unconventional and charming historian, is thrust into the action. After making a shocking discovery, Nate seeks out Oliver Queen (guest star Stephen Amell) for help in finding the scattered Legends. Once reunited, the Legends continue their new mission to protect the timeline from temporal aberrations - unusual changes to history that spawn potentially catastrophic consequences.
Their first stop is 1942, to protect Albert Einstein from being kidnapped before the Nazis destroy New York City with a nuclear bomb. Meanwhile, Ray (Brandon Routh) notices that Sara (Caity Lotz) has a mission of her own, which leads them both to face her nemesis, Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough). Victor Garber, Arthur Darvill, Dominic Purcell and Franz Drameh also star."
Next up is an image of Mehcad Brooks as The Guardian in Supergirl. The description from the producers of the show state that, "James Olsen takes on the mantle of the classic DC Comics hero, Guardian. With his trademark shield intact, James will fight to protect National City alongside Supergirl."
Speaking of Supergirl, it had the highest ratings in its time slot for the CW in eight years. Its premiere episode was viewed by 3.024 million total viewers. Below is a synopsis and preview of episode 2.
"IAN GOMEZ STARS AS SNAPPER CARR — CADMUS attacks National City with a kryptonite powered villain who ends up seriously hurting Supergirl (Melissa Benoist). Superman (guest star Tyler Hoechlin) blames Hank (David Harewood) because the kryptonite was stolen from the DEO. Meanwhile, Kara’s first day at her new job doesn’t go as planned after she meets her new boss, Snapper Carr (guest star Ian Gomez)."

Sampson proves more powerful than Wild Dog and it is up to the Green Arrow to go head to head with Sampson to save his teammate."
