It appears that the Fantastic Four debacle did not end Josh Trank's career after all. In fact, he's beeing given a solid chance at a reprieve. After rumors of destructive behavior and his removal from the project, many were convinced he would be blacklisted from ever directing another big budget major project. Well, the naysayers have been proven wrong once again. Trank is set to helm a new film about Chicago's greatest gangland kingpin, Al Capone.

Tom Hardy is set to star as an older Capone, living his sad last days. Unlike movies like Untouchables, Fonzo will feature the crime boss during his final moments as he reminisces on his life. The film may be a great way for Trank to revitalize his career while working with one of the biggest leading men in Hollywood.

The film is currently in pre-production with no release date set.
