Since the first movie came out in 1977, Star Wars has had some presence in the comic book industry. It began with Marvel and ran from 1977 to 1986 with 107 issues. Then it went to Blackthorne Publishing from 1987-1988 and then Dark Horse from 1991 through 2014.
