This is a collection of cover art from The Savage Sword of Conan from 1977-1978.
The Savage Sword of Conan was a black and white magazine format comic book that was originally published beginning in 1974 by Curtis Magazines, a company owned by Marvel Comics. It was part of Marvel's attempt at competing with Warren Publishing and their adult oriented magazine comics that weren't governed by the comic book code. It was published under the Curtis imprint until issue #60 and then moved to Marvel, where it ran until issue #235 in July, 1995. It was edited by Roy Thomas, who also initially served as the primary writer. The artists featured include Frank Brunner, Earl Norem, Dan Adkins, Ernie Chan, Kenneth Morris, Steve Garr, Dino Castrillo, Val Mayerik, Jim Starlin, Bob Larkin, and Howard Chaykin.
