We live in a dire time in which the fictional dystopian state of 1984 is becoming a near reality for us. Our government is extending its hands into areas it should stay out of and the cold, hard truth of a nightmare regime under which facts and news are claimed to be false is coming to fruition.
Due to this current political climate, the film is being shown in over 90 theaters in the U.S. on April 4th with Canada also showing it in one cinema. The movie will screen at Alamo Drafthouse locations, IFC Center, and the Society of Lincoln Centre.
