David Pimentel and Douglas Sweetland have been attached to direct the animated fantasy adventure film Darkmouth for Alcon Entertainment. The screenplay is set to be written by Lloyd Taylor, an adaptation of the HarperCollins children's book series from Shane Hegarty. The books are about a boy who joins the family business of monster hunting.
Pimentel's previous credits include Moana (head of story), Big Hero 6 (story artist), How to Train Your Dragon (story artist) and Tarzan (animator). Sweetland's include Storks (director), Monsters Inc. (directing animator), Cars (supervising animator), The Incredibles (animator, board artist), and Toy Story (animator).
