Rumor Mill: The Batman Reportedly Won't Begin Production Until 2018 And Script May Get A Total Rewrite

The Batman news seems to be an almost daily event.

News today suggests that the production date won't start until sometime in 2018. Variety reporter Justin Kroll posted on Twitter today that he has heard that director Matt Reeves is contracted to work on War for the Planet of the Apes until the end of June, which means that production wouldn't be able to begin until 2018. Kroll also said that any casting rumors are "BS," because Reeves wouldn't have time to meet with any actors until after June. Check out the Tweets below.

SlashFilm is also reporting that the script is being completely rewritten. This is strictly rumor at this point, but seems like a viable option given the amount of time that is still available before production. This could throw all possible villain rumors up in the air, including Joe Manganiello playing Deathstroke. Once again, this is strictly a rumor and nothing is confirmed at this point.
