As the series bowed out long before it should have, the idea of a revitalized return has been languishing since the season 3 finale. It appears that we're about to enter new territory as the characters from Deadwood are about to get a full length film by the original show runner.
For years now, fans have lusted after a movie that would feature their favorite characters from the series. With news breaking months ago that the cable tv outlet was thinking about making a film out of the Western, it appears that writer David Milch has completed work on the script and has delivered it to HBO for their final approval.
