Josh Brolin has been chosen to play the role of Cable in the upcoming Deadpool 2. He'll of course be buddying up with everyone's favorite merc with the mouth Wade Wilson, played by Ryan Reynolds. Brolin is reportedly a surprise choice, with the recent rumors surrounding Michael Shannon, David Harbour, Brad Pitt, and Russell Crowe. He had already been involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, playing the villain Thanos. He will be reportedly contracted to portray Cable in four films. There is no word at this time on whether his role as Thanos will continue past the new Avengers films, this casting most likely indicates that he will not return.
There is no official production or release date, but this should result in a firm date soon. I'm fine with the casting choice. Brolin is a solid actor with an excellent filmography, including one Oscar nomination. In many ways, the actors above share similar traits. What are your thoughts?
