Ever since the tragic passing of Carrie Fisher, there has been confusion over the appearance of Princess Leia in Episode 9. It was initially thought that the studio may use stock footage to interject her character into the third movie in this current trilogy. And some misleading statements by her brother Todd Fisher led us to believe that she would be in the film in some fashion or another.
With all the Star Wars news hitting today, it's been hard to keep everything straight. But according to a statement made to ABC News, Kathleen Kennedy says that Leia will not be making any appearance in Episode 9. How they plan on writing her character out still remains to be seen. Or maybe they'll just leave her storyline open ended. Now, we wait until December to find out.
