News: Robert Kirkman's Comic Book Invincible Will Be Adapted Into A Movie By Seth Rogan And Evan Goldberg

Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg have reached an agreement to adapt Robert Kirkman's  comic book Invincible into a film. They will write, direct, and produce the motion picture for Universal, through their production company Point Grey. Kirkman will also serve as a producer through Skybound Entertainment, along with his fellow Skybound partners David Alpert, Bryan Furst, and Sean Furst.

The comic has been out since 2003 and is about a high school student whose father is the most powerful superhero on Earth, and eventually he will have those same powers. Kirkman spoke about the movie deal, saying that:

“For nearly a decade I’ve had to endure the ‘what about Invincible?’ question as fans have watched ‘The Walking Dead’ grow into the multi-media monstrosity it has become over the years. The answer was always that we were waiting for the right team to partner with. That team has arrived! The esteemed misters Goldberg and Rogen have proven themselves to be top-notch directors with a keen collective eye for stunning visuals after slumming it by writing hit after juggernaut hit.”
