Kathryn Bigelow has never been one to shy away from controversy. Her latest film, Detroit depicts the 1967 riots with Star Wars star John Boyega in the lead role. Living just outside the city, we still see the damage that those riots caused. Hopefully her new film shines a light on the perpetual damage it caused.
