Rambo will soon be heading to Bollywood. The film will star Indian actor and martial artist Tiger Shroff, who began his acting career in 2014 with Heropanti. Siddharth Anand will direct, whose most recent film was the remake of Knight and Day titled Bang Bang. Bang Bang was a box office success, grossing more than $55 million globally.
It is expected to begin production in February 2018, with a theatrical release later in the year. The film is about the lone survivor of an elite covert unit of the Indian Armed forces, who returns home to find a war going on. He is forced into the Himalayan mountains, taking on enemies and becoming the unstoppable machine that he was trained to be. It is being co-produced by M! Capital Ventures, Original Entertainment, Impact Films and Siddharth Anand Pictures. Original Entertainment recently agreed to a five picture deal with Millenium Films on remakes of Rambo, The Expendables, 16 Blocks, 88 Minutes and Brooklyn’s Finest.
