This is a new video from VariantComics that provides a quick history of Wonder Woman. It is an updated version of a video that they did several years ago and it is appropriate that they revisited the character with the new movie coming out soon. She first appeared in 1941 and is one of the longest running DC superheroes, so there is quite a lot of history to condense into 12 minutes. This still gives you some history leading into the film.
The highly anticipated comic book movie stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Connie Nielsen as Wonder Woman’s mother, Queen Hippolyta, and Robin Wright as Wonder Woman’s aunt, General Antiope. The cast also includes Lucy Davis, Lisa Loven Kongsli, Danny Huston, Ewen Bremner, Elena Anaya, Florence Kasumba, and Saïd Taghmaoui, and is directed by Patty Jenkins. It is scheduled to be released on June 2, 2017.
