This new video essay explores the connections between John Carpenter's Halloween and It Follows. Carpenter's films have been a huge influence on the horror genre, seen recently with The Void. It Follows also had some inspiration from the legendary filmmaker, having an atmosphere that is similar to the popular slasher movie.
