This is a new behind the scenes trailer for Neill Blomkamp's experimental film project titled Oats Studios: Volume 1.
Depending on your viewpoint regarding his work, Blomkamp is the visionary director behind District 9, Elysium, and Chappie. His new project is a series of experimental short films from his new developmental studio called Oats Studio. The shorts will function as test concepts for potential feature length films. Steam will make them available to view in the coming months, with no official date at this time. The first trailer that was released included appearances from Sigourney Weaver and what appeared to be a young digitized version of Michael Biehn, two actors that were rumored to be part of his Alien project. Part of the narration also sounds like Sharlto Copley, who has appeared in all of Blomkamp's feature films. In the second trailer, Weaver appeared again and it sounded like Biehn was doing the narration. This project continues to look completely badass and I cannot wait to see these short films.
