News: Margot Robbie Met With Quentin Tarantino About Sharon Tate Role In His Manson Family Film

Late last night, news broke that Quentin Tarantino was planning for his next film to be about Charles Manson and the Sharon Tate murders, with A-listers Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence possibly involved. THR broke the story, saying that the picture is in the early stages of shopping the film to studios. Harvey and Bob Weinstein will once again serve as producers, with an eye to being production in 2018 and release the film in 2019.

Deadline has provided some additional details. They reported that Tarantino has met with Margot Robbie about portraying Sharon Tate, who was pregnant and married to director Roman Polanski at the time of her death. Samuel L. Jackson is also likely to play some role, which isn't too surprising considering his frequent collaboration with Tarantino. Pitt will most likely play one of the detectives investigating the murders. Neither story was able to determine who Lawrence might be playing. It could be one of Tate's main female followers or someone completely different.
