Trailers: Dave Made A Maze Is Ready To Deliver Total Insanity

This is a new trailer for Dave Made a Maze.

It is the directorial debut of actor Bill Watterson and looks like shear insanity. It stars Nick Thune, Meera Rohit Kumbhani, Adam Busch, James Urbaniak, Stephanie Allynne, Kirsten Vangsness, Scott Krinsky, and John Hennigan. It appeared at the Slamdance Film Festival and won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature and will released on August 18, 2017.

On the film's website, Watterson said that he "wanted to explore the mad fantasy worlds and heightened realities of a Labyrinth or a Legend, but to see that journey taken by foul-mouthed adults rather than a band of plucky tweens. Who doesn’t still want to be a Goonie who never says die?”

The film uses puppetry, stop motion animation, cut paper animation, and optical illusions in order to recreate that “tactile sense of wonder” from some of our favorite childhood films. Check out the synopsis and trailer below.
"Dave, an artist who has yet to complete anything significant in his career, builds a fort in his living room out of pure frustration, only to wind up trapped by the fantastical pitfalls, booby traps, and critters of his own creation."
