Images: First Photo Of Olivia Cooke As Art3mis From Steven Spielberg's Adaptation Of Ready Player One
This is the first official photo, courtesy of Empire, for Samantha Evelyn Cook AKA Art3mis (Olivia Cooke) in Steven Spielberg's film adaptation of Ready Player One. It is being adapted from the 2010 novel of the same name, written by Ernest Cline. The book was a New York Times bestseller and won the 2012 Prometheus Award. Cooke spoke to Empire about making the film, saying that:
“It felt like pure adventure. It was Willy Wonka, it was Indiana Jones. When you’re a kid wanting to be an actor, the idea of working with [Spielberg] sounds absurd. It was surreal.”
The cast also includes Tye Sheridan, Mark Rylance, Olivia Cooke, Simon Pegg, T.J. Miller, Ben Mendelsohn, Win Morisaki, Philip Zhao, and Hannah John-Kamen. It is scheduled to be released on March 30, 2018.
"Set in the near future, Ready Player One follows outcast teenager Wade Watts (Sheridan), who escapes from his bleak surroundings by logging in to the OASIS, a globally networked virtual utopia where users can lead idyllic alternate lives. When eccentric billionaire who created the OASIS dies, he offers up his vast fortune as the prize in an elaborate treasure hunt.
