News: Milla Jovavich Cast As The Villain In Hellboy Reboot

Milla Jovovich is moving from the Resident Evil franchise to play the villain in the upcoming Hellboy reboot Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen. In the comics, the blood queen is one of the greatest witches of Britain, who lived during the reign of King Arthur. She was beloved by Merlin, but eventually her knowledge of magic drove her mad without Merlin's guidance. Her madness forced the other witches to cut her into pieces and scatter them across the Earth. She first appeared in The Wild Hunt mini-series and then in The Storm and The Fury mini-series.

Neil Marshall (The Descent, Dog Soldiers) is set to direct, with David Harbour (Stranger Things) set to replace Ron Perlman as Hellboy. They will be joined by Ian McShane (Deadwood), who is set to portray Professor Bloom. Aron Coleite is currently working on a draft of the script that was written by Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden, and Mike Mignola. Larry Gordon, Lloyd Levin, and Mike Richardson are serving as producers. Millenium Films and Lionsgate are producing the film, with Christa Campbell, Lati Grobman, and Carl Hampe serving as executive producers.
