Decades after his initial run as the hero of the NBC series Knight Rider, David Hasselhoff is still the series' biggest champion. With nearly every other '80s property getting some type of reboot or revisit, the hyper technical KITT is one that still hasn't gotten a proper modern treatment. Hasselhoff is working on getting it done. Earlier, he had discussed the project with Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn but has now reportedly mentioned the prospect of a darker, more Logan-like Knight Rider when he met with Robert Rodriguez.

I want to shoot the TV series! I want to bring it back and make it dark! Michael Knight comes back and he’s pissed.’ … I hope it happens, and if it does, it’ll be kind of like Logan. It will be dark.
