Images: First Photo Of David Harbour As Hellboy

Today we are being treated to our first look at David Harbour as Hellboy in the upcoming reboot of Mike Mignola's comic book franchise. At least some fans were concerned when news first broke regarding the reboot and Harbour taking over as Hellboy, but fans should feel pretty excited with this first image.

Neil Marshall (The Descent, Dog Soldiers) is directing Hellboy, with David Harbour (Stranger Things) replacing Ron Perlman as Hellboy. They will be joined by Ian McShane (Deadwood) as Professor Bloom, Daniel Dae Kim as Major Ben Daimio, Penelope Mitchell as Ganeida, Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan, and Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil) as the main villain the Blood Queen.

Aron Coleite has been working on a draft of the script that was written by Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden, and Mike Mignola. Larry Gordon, Lloyd Levin, and Mike Richardson are serving as producers. Millenium Films and Lionsgate are producing the film, with Christa Campbell, Lati Grobman, and Carl Hampe serving as executive producers. It is expected to begin shooting in October. Check out the synopsis and image below.

"The new story sees the hero squaring off against a medieval sorceress who seeks to destroy humankind."
