Fox has brought on Drew Goddard to write and direct the X-Men spinoff film X-Force. The film will feature Deadpool and Cable leading a Black Ops group of ruthless mutants. Simon Kinberg, Ryan Reynolds, and Lauren Shuler Donner are serving as producers. Goddard's is currently writing and producing Bad Times at El Royale with Chris Hemsworth and Jeff Bridges, which is expected to begin production early next year. His credits include an Academy Award nomination for writing The Martian, as well as directing the 2012 horror movie The Cabin in the Woods.
