Videos: 10 Improvised Movie Scenes That Made Actors Break Character

This is a new video from Screen Rant that lists 10 improvised scenes that made actors break character. There are many great moments in films where actors actually improvised some dialogue or a whole scene, creating a magical cinematic moment. They make the audience laugh and they make the other actors in the scene laugh as well. Check out the synopsis and video below to see which improvised scenes made the list.

"We gotta love a good improvised moment. When an actor can think of the perfect thing to do in a particular situation on the fly and have it be so awesome it ends up in the final cut. But sometimes improvising can take back their fellow cast members to the point of getting additional improvised reactions, quite often that has them break the illusion of acting if only for a moment. A lot of these moments come from actors busting out into laughter on set when a joke was said or an accident heard. Films like Saving Private Ryan and Good Will Hunting, both with Matt Damon, involved scenes where an improvised story would be told only to have unexpected laughter to be captured. The same could be said for the Usual Suspects, where the infamous line up scene ended up being entirely improvised for the better. The Fast and the Furious did this in their sixth entry, when Dwayne Johnson was able to get a hilarious reaction out of two of his fellow cast members for his improvised comeback. Comic book films like The Dark Knight and X Men: First Class also had great moments of improvisation that had their fellow cast members looking dazed and confused. Then there’s cult films like Shaun of the Dead, which were full of amazing moments but seeing Simon Pegg burst into unexpected laughs with his buddy Nick Frost is equally entertaining. Then of course, there’s the bone shattering moment in the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. You’ll understand what we meant by that one soon enough!"
