IT blew away the box office and really surprised fans and critics with both its financial success and excellent storytelling. Director Andy Muschietti is reportedly working on the script for Chapter 2 now, which brings the Loser's Club back to Derry 27-year-later to battle Pennywise the Clown. All that we really know about Chapter 2 is the release date of September 6th, 2019.
No casting has been made yet, but fans and the young stars of IT have all voiced their opinions on which actors they would choose. The actors that have been mentioned include Bill Hader, Jessica Chastain, Chadwick Boseman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Joseph Gordon Levitt, and Chris Pratt.
