Paramount Pictures has announced that they will be releasing the horror film Eli on January 4, 2019. It will go through the studio's Paramount Players Label and will be directed By Ciaran Foy (Citadel, Sinister 2), off of the 2015 Black List script from David Chirchirillo.
Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing (The Boy Who Drew Monsters, The Autopsy of Jane Doe, and Cropsey) will revise the script, with Trevor Macy (The Bye Bye Man, Ouija: Origin of Evil, The Strangers, Oculus) producing via his Intrepid Pictures and John Zaozirny producing through Bellevue Productions. Matt Alvarez will executive produce, and Melinda Nishioka will co-produce for Intrepid Pictures.
The psychological horror film follows a young boy with an autoimmune disorder who discovers that the secluded clinic he's being treated at isn't safe, becoming a haunted prison with no way out.
