News: Star Wars: The Last Jedi Will Be The Longest Star Wars Film



Get ready, it’s going to be a long episode. The longest in fact, as director Rian Johnson has confirmed that Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be the longest running film in the franchise so far. At a Paris press conference, he confirmed that the film will be 150 minutes with the credits. The longest prior to this was The Revenge Of The Sith at 140 minutes. The Force Awakens was 124 minutes, which fell in line with the average length of the original trilogy films. He also confirmed that Rogue One director Gareth Edwards would be making a cameo of sort in the film. 

Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Carrie Fisher (General Leia), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), and Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) star. The film was written and directed by Rian Johnson and stars the above mentioned actors, along with Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis, Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern, and Kelly Marie. It is scheduled to be released on December 15, 2017. Check out the trailer below.
