This is a new video of Dacre Montgomery's audition tape that he submitted for Stranger Things, which lead to his break-out role as Billy on season 2. He provided the tape to GQ and discussed what he was thinking when he put the audition tape together. He said:
"I just kind of wanted to make a bit of a splash with the Duffers, because I assumed they would be getting so many tapes. I had the audition details for about a day, and I did the whole thing in the first day because I was so overwhelmingly excited about it. impressed. I sent off the tape at 11 o’clock that night, Australian time, and then in the morning we had a response.”
