Videos: Tom Hardy In Behind The Scenes Video On Set Of Venom

After several official photos were released for Sony's upcoming comic book film Venom, we have some unofficial footage from behind-the-scenes. In the footage, Hardy,or his stunt double, takes a landing on a crash-mat. The footage then resumes minus the mat and Hardy gets up and runs down an alley, before being scared by something and then having some type of conversation with it. It appears that he is most likely talking to the Venom symbiote in the scene. The cast consists of Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Jennie Slate, Reid Scott, Scott Haze, and Riz Ahmed.

Tom Hardy stars as Eddie Brock AKA Venom, the original host of the alien Venom symbiote and one of Spider-man's popular supervillains in the comics. Ahmed is playing an unknown character, it was initially believed that he would be playing the arch nemesis Carnage. Sony has since shot down those rumors. Williams will be playing a district attorney and a possible love interest for Hardy. It is believed that the character may be Anne Weying, who was Eddie Brock's (Venom) wife in the comics and eventually came into contact with the symbiote to become She-Venom. Slate is playing a scientist, with nothing else known at this time about her character. Veep actor Reid Scott and Scott Haze also recently joined the cast in unspecified roles.

Venom is being written by Scott Rosenberg (Jumanji) and Jeff Pinkner (The Dark Tower), it will be directed by Ruben Fleischer, and is being produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, Palak Patel, and Eric Fineman. Sony has said that this will be a standalone film and will not play a part in the Spider-Man universe. Check out the video below.
